OUR MISSION/PURPOSE

Our present mission is to preach the gospel

(Mark 16:15)

Make disciples or converts of men

(Matthew 28:19-20)

To perfect the saints to bring all to the fullness of Christ

(Ephesians 4:12)

To prepare for Christ a glorious church without spot or wrinkle (Ephesians 5:27)

PRAYER

We believe the prayer that Jesus gave to His disciples in the Sermon on the Mount is the prayer to be prayed by all Christians.  This prayer is commonly known as the Lord's Prayer. (Matthew 6:9-13)

OUR FATHER, WHICH ART IN HEAVEN,

HALLOWED BE THY NAME.

THY KINGDOM COME.

THY WILL BE DONE IN EARTH,

AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.

GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD.

  AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS,

AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS.

AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION,

BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

  FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM.

AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY, FOR EVER.

AMEN.

ABOUT THE BIBLE

We believe the bible is the inspired word of God.  We accept the revelation of God in the person of Jesus Christ.  Our only reliable source of information about him is the bible.  Jesus Christ is the central theme of the Holy Scripture.

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit or the Holy Ghost.  We believe Him to be a person and the thid person in the Godhead.  We believe the Holy Spirit is the creative, living, loving, and lasting presence of God in the world.  There is only one God, but He has three basic roles:  Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier.  So we say Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST

We believe Jesus Christ to be the Eternal Son of God, eternal Word, Creator, and Preserver of all things.

We believe Jesus Christ born of a virgin, lived a holy life, and was crucified, buried, and resurrected.  He was both human and divine.   (Isaiah 7:14)

We believe the scriptural evidence of a bodily resurrection in several earthly exhibiting post resurrection appearances. (Matthew 28:1-10, Mark 16:12-13, Luke 24:13-40, John 20:1-29, I Corinthians 9:1)
